well i`m not agree with these drawings.
buildings are not 12 story.
you can not build 12 story building with 40x40 columns and isolated foundations at that size.
in fact at 12 story building isolated foundation are not a good idea.
i hope that this building is not in a seismic area.maximum height of one of the building , if i am not wrong is 10m.
thank you uploader for your efforts.
my opinion about this drawings is that they are very poor quality.
excuse me for my bad english.

i strongly agree with sergiu, columns and footings are too small for a 12 storey.
Just for a rule of thumb, footings for 3 storey shop office is abohut 2.5m x 2.5m (rough approximation since i have done so many shop offices).

i dont see any problem with isolated pads for 12 storey building as long as calculations and experience allow, for example if seismic hazard is below 5 on ritcher scale and the rock type is stable of very high density and bearing capacity. You can tie columns at ground level and intruduce shear walls to reduce stresses on columns and come up with a very light structure. Engineering is about economy and safety. Sometimes haeavy column section or very rigid structure is not safe.
