Steel Design Calculation for Bridge False Works - lednar_ved - 04-05-2010

hi guys,

i wanted to share my design calculations for bridge false work design.
i still have doubts on my calculations especially on the design for steel sheet piles (SSP) to be used as steel deck flooring.

can the SSP Type-II really support the loads acting above on it?
are my design calculations correct?
i want to have your opinions on this matter.

please do help me.

thanx in advance.

P.S. i dont know how to post using 'postgen'.
I wanted to post it as a screenshot and attached it on this thread. that is why i have it posted this way.my apologies.

Hi,
here's my repost regarding the detailed design calculation i made on the formwork and falsework support for our bridge projects. it is actually just a simple steel frames supporting the loads on the cast-in-place AASHTO PC girders. length of the bridge is just 32.0 m and the frames has a bay dimension: 2.25mx3.6m. I was asking before If I have been missing something in my design. but as of to date, it was actually proven safe because the girders are already poured and there were no reported problems.in fact, for the 4 girders to be poured, only 1 girder left remaining. see screenshots

anyways, i would still accept further corrections on my design calculation to enhance my ability on designing structures most especially steel designs as i was still a young and novice engineer.

here's the link to download all the files.
THanks.
