Etab-Steel-BS-section classification - piseth - 04-05-2010 Hi everyone! I have a problem to with Etab section classification, I use code: BS5950-2000 steel section: Chanel (widthxdeptxthick)(50x100x3mm) Yeild strength: fy= 290MPa According to BS5950 table-11 d/t<40*(270/fy)^0.5 d/t = 31.33 40*(270/fy)^0.5 = 38.95 so it is ok But in Etab if we model the section as above it said section classification 4. Any one have any idea on this? thanks |
